Growing up around the furniture factories of North Carolina, Ron Cline pursued art, drawing and painting and went on to receive both a B.A. and an M.A. in speech and Mass Media. His working life diversified and he eventually returned to art and woodworking. A fascination with Southwestern arts and culture led him to Taos. Cline approaches woodworking as an art and believes that his work expresses the “spirit of the wood.” Today, he produces custom furniture, doors and cabinetry of all types. Ron has won many awards, including “Best of Furniture” in the 2003 Taos Open and Third Place in the 2007 Taos Invites Taos.
